Find a tool and its editing controls

Look up a modeling family, its placement method and the guide to its dimensions, movement and output.

On this page 4

Choose a tool from the left rail or Add menu. A catalog opens a choice of objects; choose an example to begin its placement. Select an existing object to change that instance in the right panel. Placement and editing differ between point objects, contours and hosted openings.

Common controls

Select and inspect, move, rotate and reshape, change a Level, snaps and guides, clipboard and Undo/Redo explain the shared commands. Move pans the workspace; moving a model object uses that object's supported handles.

Coordination and building

Wall Draw a baseline and edit endpoints and height; choose a Wall type.
Foundation Draw a supporting baseline, choose its type and section.
Column Place a column at a point, then configure its height, section and pad.

Materials and types explains the definitions shared by these elements.
