Save a named version when its calculated figures must remain unchanged after later edits. Review the version itself before exporting or sharing it.
- Calculate and review the result. Resolve or understand its missing items.
- Select Versions. Enter a meaningful name, then Save this version.
- Check the new version number, name and date. Use its XLSX or PDF link to download that version's estimate, then compare its totals with the workspace.
- For a public version link, set Links show unit prices to the disclosure you intend, then select Get a link beside the required version.
- Copy the displayed URL and check it in a signed-out browser. Confirm the version and whether unit prices appear before sending it.

The current version-capture path does not carry the project's allowance percentages into the saved version. Its With allowances figure can therefore equal its Net total even when the live workspace includes an allowance. Check these totals explicitly before sending a version.
The unit-price switch applies to generated links. Review exported PDF/XLSX separately; do not assume that hiding prices in a link removes them from downloaded files. A link's reader receives view access to that snapshot, not permission to edit the project.
Later recalculation, manual price changes and model saves do not rewrite a previously saved version. Create a new version for revised figures and choose it explicitly for the next export or link.
This differs from the public project link, which follows the latest saved model. Closing that project link does not close an existing version link. There is currently no version-link revoke control in Versions, so choose the disclosure before sending the URL.
